Kristin is an experienced speaker and presenter. She regularly talks about her books to libraries, historical societies and community groups such as Probus and Rotary. She has also spoken at large specialty gatherings such as the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association annual conference, and the Royal Geographical Society SA speakers’ series.
Kristin conducts writing workshops on themes such as bringing true stories to life and the journey from idea to publication, and also participates in writing festivals.
For school groups, Kristin also offers talks and workshops on science-focused themes such as her career as a laboratory scientist and her move into science journalism. She can explore the nuts and bolts of forensic science and DNA fingerprinting, and discuss science-writing as an alternative scientific career.
